HOW TO SPEED UP WI-FI USING MESH TECHNIQUE

It is a common assumption that Wi-Fi speeds are faster than wired networks. However, in the real world, the truth is the opposite. Wired networks are faster than Wi-Fi. Though faster Wi-Fi data speeds may not be much of a concern to normal consumers, however to businesses and gamers, it is as good as a lifeline.
So, how can they speed up Wi-Fi speeds? Well, the answer is a simple technique. Let us find out.

Wi-Fi mesh bridges wired networks
As the name suggests, Wi-Fi mesh is a technique to combine all wired connections and thus increase the Wi-Fi speed. The notable benefit of Wi-Fi mesh over other techniques is that one can also combine the  internet speed of a dongle or USB the internet device, apart from traditional wired networks.
For enabling Wi-Fi mesh, there are two requirements, mentioned as follows:
  1. Hardware: You will need to use or purchase a router that accepts multiple wired cables. Alternatively, you can also invest in a Wi-Fi IOT Module to get the same functionality. Some additional hardware may be required at the end of computer or networking device.
  2. Software: For configuring multiple wired connections, one may need to install some dedicated software or use the pre-provided one, in the operating system. For every operating system, there are respective versions of the software. So, before proceeding, confirm the installer you are downloading.
Enabling the feature
  •  Firstly, all the wired connections are to be attached to the router or the Wi-Fi IOT Module.
  • Then, the configuration is to be done on the software side. One need not configure each and every wired connection, but just a single wireless connection. Settings can be done by going to the access point of the router.
  •  After all this, the personal system configures the software or firewall of the operating system to allow the incoming connection, with more than one IP Address.
Set the frequency to 5GHz
For Wi-Fi mesh to work effectively, choose the band 5GHz instead of 2.4GHz, being it less congested. Also, make sure the correct Dbi module is installed on the router.

Remain Connected Wirelessly With Wi-Fi

Earlier, everyone used to connect to the internet with the help of wired connections. It was a reliable means of getting access to the internet. However, people were willing to cutdown the wires, but not the service. A new protocol was invented, now known as ‘Wi-Fi’. The term stands for wireless fidelity. It allows connecting to the internet without the use of wires; only the one to be used is the modem.

What is Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is a local wireless computer networking technology, which allows electronic devices toconnect the network wirelessly. The Wi-Fi works as wireless local area network. Devices that are installed with a Wi-Fi receiver are smartphones, computers, or tablets through which they are able to connect to the network wirelessly.

Requirements to use Wi-Fi

To enable Wi-Fi connectivity, you will require a modem that is capable of encoding the wired connection into waves. The modems that transmit data and are also referred as Ethernet Frames.

Wi-Fi IOT Module

The Wi-Fi IOT module is an external accessory that can be soldered onto the existing Wi-Fi modems to enhance both of their speed and functionality, which will be discussed later on. This module can be controlled with the help of dedicated firmware and software provided by the producer of your modem.

Coming to the enhancements, the module allows the modem to transfer signals at a higher range and frequency, on which most of the people are not shifted. This means your device will not have to struggle to connect Wi-Fi and obtaining speed through the access point. The Wi-Fi IOT module also unlocks the bandwidth rate of the Wi-Fi modem and thus allows for faster transfer data transfers, both download and upload. The same is available both through offline retailers and through online retailers.

The benefits of installing Wi-Fi IOT

  1. The module allows for data transmission at a higher speed than the standard capacity of Wi-Fi modems.
  2. The module delivers an unmatched range and flexibility on a compact size chip footprint and low power consumption.
  3. Wi-Fi IOT Module offers specific features such as soft AP and zero host loads.
  4. It is simple to use and configure with integrated software.
